They say that as we grow older we tend to go back to our roots. Well, it seems that has happened to me! As a kid, I would collects bags and bags of rocks much to my Mother's concern. I guess it was just natural to eventually DO something with my treasures and that is exactly what I did.
My Dad bought me a few cans of paint, a couple of brushes and I sat down at the picnic table and created! My late sister was the recipient of many of these treasures and she kept them for years outside in her garden.
Well, life and circumstances changed and my artistic side took a backseat to the more practical ways of making a living.
... Fast forward to present day ... I am retired, living in Austria and I have time to go back to one of my first loves ... painting rocks! My husband was stunned when I shared with him my girlhood passion, but like any good man, he to went out and bought me paint and brushes!
So my friends, Whimsical Painted Rocks has been born!
